I have been a computer programmer since 1972. I have programmed in various forms of Cobol, Basic, Fortran, Algol, Pascal, C, Modula-2, and I worked on RPG and Cobol compilers. I recently trained for and received a Novell CNE.
EXPERIENCE:
Designed and implemented syntax for Unisys A Series RPG programs to call libraries written in other languages.
Enhanced the debugging features of the A Series Cobol compiler, to allow its use in very large programs.
Reorganized and upgraded A Series Cobol language conversion tools.
Handled the complete bug cycle, reproducing the bug (where possible), getting additional information from the user, tracking down the bug, writing the source changes, testing, and release.
Installed software releases on Unisys V Series and IBM Series/1 computers, trained operators and programmers, maintained databases, and was on call for system crashes.
Researched network communications problems.
Redesigned Valley Federal's nightly offline job stream.
Converted network logins from Netware 3 Bindery to Netware 4 NDS. Technical support for Internet Service Provider, using Netscape, Eudora Light, Shiva Dialer, Windows 95 Dial-Up Networking.
Built and repaired PCs. Installed MS-DOS 5.0, 6.0, 6.22, MS-Windows 3.1, Windows 95, Word Perfect 6.0 and 6.1. Configured memory management in all DOSes.
