"Life & Love" incorporates influences ranging from Classic R&B/Funk to 70's soul and cool jazz. Erica Berry's smooth vocal performance compliments strong bass lines and drums. With solid melodies and thoughtful lyrics, there is but one word that describes this unique album, Quality!"

Erica Berry is a singer/songwriter from the San Francisco Bay Area. Coming from a musically talented family it was inevitable that Erica would pursue a career in music. Inspired by the likes of Gladys Knight, Marvin Gaye, Sarah Vaughn, Sade and Prince, Erica devoted much of her free time to music. At first playing the flute and later singing in local choirs and music organizations, Erica would go on to study music at Howard University. With formal classical training and participation in the Howard University Gospel Choir, there would be no doubt that Erica would be a voice of the future. Of all things said, Erica's vocal expression is sensitive, soulful and subtle.

The lead off song entitled, "Bittersweet Love" is a great indication of the direction and tone of the entire album. Its a moody midtempo song that incorporates Erica's classically smooth vocal style with funky wah wah and rhythm guitars. Subtle jazz undertones become more apparent with the entrance of a soulful alto saxophone. This song captivates old and young alike.

Erica Berry's debut album is the first release of a new independent label appropriately named Positivity Records. Positivity Records is an A & R driven label based in Berkeley, California. With its primary focus being on the development of young talent, Positivity prides itself on creating a unique sound for each of its artists.
