George Weah
George Weah was
born in Monrovia, Liberia on October 1st 1966. This great player is the first
person ever to hold FIFA World, European, and African player of the year titles
simultaneously. From the time George came onto the soccer scene it seemed that
every club he touched turned to gold .The list of his achievements is incredible:
- Cameroon Champions (1988 Tonnerre de Yaounde)
- ,French Champions(1994,Paris
SG),
- French Cup Winners (1991,Monaco), 1993 and 1995 (Paris SG)
- French
League Cup Winners (1995 Paris SG) European Cup Winners Cup Finalists (1992 Monaco)
- 1996 Champions (AC Milan) where he led his team in every offensive category.
George also plays for his home countries team, Lone Star to raise funds
for those affected by the Liberian Civil War. George credits his success to his
Monaco coach Wenger, "He made me the footballer I am today."
