I left the gloom & doom atmosphere of Her Majesty's country 25
years ago, and like Dick Wittington and his cat thought that U.S.A
streets were paved with gold!! Much to my chagin, much blood,
much sweat, much tears have bought me to find the real riches
within myself regardless of the country I live in!
In the 25 years I lived here, 2 years have been in N.J, 20 years
in Sacramento (great place to bring up my 4 children, Oronde,
Sarai, Naomi & Macachi) and 31/2 yrs in the East Bay - Love It.
My profession as an Agency Psychiatric LVN has given me the flexibility
and diversity to enjoy other pursuits as, Holistic Health Educator/Coach,
Tai Chi - Chi Guong and attend school for American Sign Language
and Cantonese. Also, as an on-call Agency Nurse it keeps me out
of trouble! Even though I’ve been here so long, it seems still
like US vs THEM language, culture, color of the skin and talking
English, but not looking English has been a major factor and challenge.
Anyway, enclosing, I love being a member of BEAD and look forward
to establishing new friendships.
